If thoughts of buttery homemade biscuits, a steamy bowl of creamy cheese grits and perfectly scrambled eggs make your heart sing… You, my friend are gonna want to sit up and pay close attention to my run-down of the best brunch spots on 30A. <–more–>

This girl can eat! So, I’m a pretty reliable source of information when it comes to good food. Don’t believe me? Ask my thighs. I’m not kidding… Go grab a pen and pad or just take a screenshot of my list of favorite restaurants serving up some of the best mouthwatering brunch dishes on 30A.

The Perfect Pig – Once in a while, you go to a restaurant that satisfies your belly as well as your eyes. This place is gorgeous! Perfect in every way, the Perfect Pig had me the second I walked in the door for the first time. I remember after sitting down, our waiter promptly came to take our drink order.  I wasn’t ready. Nah… I was too busy drinking in the sights. Loving everything I saw. Every farmhouse style design choice from the white washed brick to the logo on the wall, to the awesome chandelier at the bar, to the cute glasses that held our OJ. It was all glorious. That day, I sat back, took a deep breath more than satisfied with the surroundings and prayed that the food was equally as perfect. Our food came out piping hot and it was delish! Everything we’ve ordered since that day has been wonderful. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If you like grits, do yourself a favor and get the grits. They’re out of this world. The waffles, the omelets and biscuits were fantastic. Our kids love the vanilla bean pancakes.  Located only 2 blocks away from Casa Belleview, it’s an easy walk for the kiddos when you want to grab breakfast before heading to the beach or pick up lunch on the way back from the beach. Run, don’t walk there. You’ll thank me later.

2. Great Southern Café – Delicious brunch options await you at this popular Seaside restaurant. The award-winning dish, Grits a Ya Ya is to die for. All I can say is wow…  Let’s all give a moment of silence to all the shrimp that gave their lives to become part of this kick-a** dish of yumminess. I can’t… (wiping away a tear) say enough about how tasty it is. Let me pull myself together. It’s like that, ya’ll. Just. Go. Get. You. Some.

3. Donut Hole – A fantastic brunch spot, the loooooong lines at this popular diner will ALMOST make you lose your appetite. Almost, but not quite. I’m impatient to a fault and when I’m hungry, it’s not pretty. But for the donuts at Donut Hole, I can manage to hold it together. Worth the wait, these donuts are heavenly. With so many flavors to choose from, it can be hard to pick. So, I’ll make it easy for you. Whatever you do, make sure you order the Red Velvet donuts. They sell out fast, so don’t hesitate. I’ve been known to drag myself out of bed at the crack of dawn, just to pick up a box of donuts for me and the kids. Even at that time, I recognized other barely awake Donut Hole die-hards like me walking into the shop with bed hair. Some with PJs. For the record, I don’t leave the house in my PJs. Quick tip: There are two lines. One for dine-in and one for take-out. Be sure you’re in the take-out line to pick up donuts. The food at the Donut Hole is yummy too. The portions are huge, so come with an appetite or plan to take home a doggie bag.
